Let’s Fix California’s Broken Recall System Together
California’s recall process is deeply flawed. Right now, an elected official can be removed by a simple majority vote — and replaced by someone who gets far less support, sometimes less than 20%.
Our proposed State Constitutional Amendment would eliminate this undemocratic loophole by removing the flawed second question from the recall ballot. If a recall succeeds, the seat would temporarily remain vacant, followed by a fair and open special election — one where all candidates, including the recalled official, can run.
This reform restores integrity, fairness, and the voice of the voters. But meaningful change doesn’t happen without resources. Your financial support will help us get the word out to voters so we can once and for all fix our broken recall system.
